**EMF**

I didn’t believe it much myself, but I would like to share the fact that eliminating EMF has improved my sleep. EMF stands for Electro Magnetic Field, commonly known as “electromagnetic waves.” It is emitted by nearly everything that uses electricity. Among them, high-frequency EMF is said to harm cells and DNA (X-rays and radiation are extreme examples).

In particular, devices emitting medium to high-frequency EMF, high-voltage power lines, mobile phones, 5G towers, microwave ovens, and the like are believed to negatively impact sleep.

During the sleep lectures I attended, many instructors discussed the effects of EMF on the human body. Specifically, carrying a mobile phone in pockets close to the heart, breasts in the case of women, or in close proximity to the genital area for extended periods of time was noted to have adverse physiological effects, such as reducing bone density and potentially causing tumors or cancer. (Especially when using a laptop, as computer devices come close to a woman’s chest, placing a mobile phone in a breast pocket is closest to the heart, and putting it in the front pocket of pants has the most impact on the genitals and testicles.)
Because high-frequency EMF can disrupt sleep, I experimented by turning off Wi-Fi, switching my phone to airplane mode, and shutting down all electronic devices at home before bedtime. As a result, I undeniably experienced deeper sleep than usual and woke up refreshed the next day. Some individuals may unknowingly be sensitive to electromagnetic waves, so I believe it’s worth trying.
If the quality of your sleep has declined since moving, it might be wise to check for nearby cell towers or high-voltage power lines.
While reports of EMF negatively affecting cells and DNA require further research, they may progress gradually and often ultimately lead to cancer, so caution is advised.
EMF has been suggested to potentially cause various developmental disorders in children, especially those in their early stages of growth. It’s also considered risky for pregnant women and fetuses.
Here, I want to caution everyone to avoid prolonged proximity to electrical appliances. Especially with computers and mobile phones, which are often used in close proximity to the body, let’s be mindful.
I’ve listed three points about sleep environments that are often overlooked, including those mentioned in a previous post.
Regarding EMF, I plan to gather more information and provide a more detailed update in the future.
