1. Milk
Many people believe that milk is a great source of calcium and essential for good health, but in reality, it’s not as beneficial as it seems.
- Nutritional Value & Processing
All store-bought milk undergoes high-temperature or low-temperature pasteurization, which eliminates beneficial microbiomes (healthy bacteria) naturally present in raw milk. - Lactose Intolerance
About 95% of Asians are lactose intolerant, meaning they lack the enzyme needed to digest lactose properly. This leads to digestive issues, bloating, diarrhea, and inflammation. Additionally, galactose—a sugar formed when lactose is broken down—has been linked to ovarian cancer and accelerated aging, according to a study from Harvard School of Public Health. - Casein Issues
Milk contains two types of casein: A1 and A2. A1 casein is linked to inflammation and even Type 1 diabetes. - Contamination in Dairy Cows
Most dairy cows are not pasture-raised but confined and fed GMO corn. They are also treated with hormones and antibiotics, which can affect milk quality. - Calcium Myth
Studies suggest that high calcium intake is associated with an increased risk of prostate cancer. In fact, drinking two or more glasses of milk per day can double the risk. Moreover, countries with lower calcium intake (such as Japan, India, and Peru) have lower osteoporosis and fracture rates than the U.S. - Cancer Risk
Several studies have linked milk consumption to prostate cancer and breast cancer.
✅ My personal rule: I only drink raw milk—meaning milk fresh from pasture-raised cows, which is rare.
2. Zero-Sugar & Low-Calorie Beer, Diet Sodas

While “zero sugar,” “low calorie,” or “light” drinks sound healthy, they can actually be even worse than regular versions.

- Artificial Sweeteners Are the Real Problem
These drinks often contain Aspartame, Sucralose, and Acesulfame K, which are significantly sweeter than sugar (200–600 times) but come with serious health concerns: - Acesulfame K: Has been shown to disrupt gut bacteria, leading to obesity and metabolic issues. Animal studies indicate it may cause liver damage and immune suppression.
- Aspartame: Contains methanol, which can cross into the brain and overstimulate nerve cells, potentially triggering neurological disorders, obesity, diabetes, and even cancer. It was approved by the FDA despite major safety concerns.
- Sucralose: A chlorinated compound similar to toxic dioxins. It disrupts gut flora, weakens immunity, and even reduces the effectiveness of prescription drugs.
✅ My personal rule: I avoid all drinks containing artificial sweeteners.
3. Store-Bought Salad Dressings

Salads are healthy, but store-bought dressings are far from it.

- Bad Oils
Most commercial dressings use corn oil, soybean oil, canola oil, and other seed oils rich in omega-6 fatty acids. Excessive omega-6 disrupts the balance with omega-3, leading to chronic inflammation, heart disease, diabetes, and arthritis. - GMO Ingredients & Additives
Many dressings contain genetically modified (GMO) corn and soy ingredients, as well as MSG (monosodium glutamate), which can trigger headaches and cravings. - Hidden Sugars
Many store-bought dressings are loaded with sugar, high-fructose corn syrup, and even artificial sweeteners.
✅ My personal rule: I make my own dressing with my blender using Olive oil.
Just because something is marketed as “healthy” doesn’t mean it actually is. Be mindful of what you consume!
