Love songs for people with weak digestion – Prologue

Many health enthusiasts weren’t always in the peak of health from the start, myself included.

At just one year old, I battled pneumonia and was diagnosed with juvenile rheumatism, enduring a frail respiratory system prone to frequent colds. By high school, sports and biking accidents had led to three broken bones, including a narrow escape from a head-on collision during a motorcycle mishap. Despite these challenges, I gradually distanced myself from illness and got healthier.

However, there was one persistent issue – Weak digestion and stomach. During summer, I found myself rushing to the restroom. The moment I stepped into an air-conditioned room, my stomach would protest. Morning commutes to school were often a struggle, with clenched buttocks and profuse sweating, frequently dashing to the station’s restroom. Even as an adult, my tolerance to wheat diminished, triggering stomach upsets with foods like pizza, pasta, and bread, and eventually even affecting my enjoyment of beer, leading to chronic indigestion, constipation, and diarrhea.

My journey as a health coach led me to understand that these symptoms aligned with “Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)” . Through relentless experimentation, I identified the cause and explored various improvement methods until I achieved almost regular bowel movements, enjoyable meals, reduced stomach discomfort, and improved digestion. I now understand my stomach ten times better and have deepened my relationship with my digestive systems.

Improving physical discomfort mirrors the process of nurturing a romantic relationship. Ultimately, it’s about mutual understanding and learning to coexist harmoniously – the essence of self-love towards one’s own body.

Hence, I’m excited to share the insights and knowledge gained from reclaiming my relationship with my stomach in a five-part series. It would be an honor if this series could contribute, even in a small way, to improving your relationship with your stomach.

This guide is not just for those struggling with digestive issues, but also for anyone who wants to understand the importance of digestion to their well-being and learn how to improve it.

By the end of this series, you’ll gain insights into:

  1. The core functions of the stomach
  2. Foods that disrupt stomach function
  3. Foods that enhance stomach function
